Mrs. Dunton: My name is Erin Dunton. This is my second year at Davis and my second year living in Cobb county, so I am still new to the area. I graduated from the University of North Georgia with Bachelor's Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I have a reading endorsement and am trained in REAP (Reading is Essential for All People). I am looking forward to working not only with the special education students in this class but also the general ed and gifted students. I cannot wait to get started with what I'm sure will be the best year yet!

Mrs. Gay:

I have been a teacher at Davis for 14 years. Overall I have been teaching 23 years! All that time I have been married to my husband Geoff. We have a son named Mason who is in 10th grade at Lassiter High School and a spoiled dog named Oreo. I graduated from Auburn University. War Eagle!

Mrs. Lawson:

This is my 14th year teaching and my 6th year Davis Elementary School. I graduated from University of West Georgia with my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I received my Master's from Grand Canyon University in Educational Technology and I am also Special Ed certified.  I am happily married  to my husband of 22 years. We have two children, Abby Lynne and Ethan. I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I know this will be a fun year of learning.

Mrs. Muzyka:

I am excited to be starting my twelfth year teaching at Davis Elementary! I have twenty plus years of teaching experience in five states. I have been married to my husband Alex for 31 years and we have two children. I graduated from the University of Kansas with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am looking forward to a year of laughing and learning and growing together.

Mrs. Welch: 

This is my 28th year teaching in Cobb County. I grew up and went to school in the area so I haven't moved too far from home. I am married and have 2 children. My son Davis is 16 and is a sophomore at Lassiter and my daughter Riley is 13 and attends a private school in Woodstock. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family. I love going to the beach, reading, and watching football. War Eagle! I am very excited to be apart of the Davis Community and can't wait to spend the year with my new class.

 

Ms. Winther:

This is my fourth year teaching second grade at Davis Elementary. I am a Cobb County native. I graduated from the University of Georgia, Go Dawgs! I just recently received my master's in Early Childhood Education with emphasis in reading and literacy. I love traveling, spending time with others, and walking. Get ready to travel into learning!
