Grammar: We will be working on rearranging sentences this week. We will take a complete sentence and learn to rearrange it and add interesting words.
Spelling: We will be reviewing phonics patterns we have learned thus far in class this week. No spelling test this week.
Reading: We will be learning point of view this week. First-Person: The narrator tells “I” or “my” story. Second-Person: The narrator tells “you” or “your” story, usually used for instructions. Third-Person Objective: The narrator tells “his” or “her” story and does not reveal any character's thoughts or feelings
Writing: We will continue Opinion Writing for this 9 weeks. Students will chose their favorite book and write their opinion about the book.
Math: This week we will working on subtracting three digit numbers with borrowing. We will use our strategies that we have learned this year to help us solve the problems (base ten, partial sums, chunking, and decomposing).
Social Studies: We will be learning about what causes environmental changes and also invasive plants and animals.
